This is a blog to share with anybody who wants to 'create' fun food. I get ideas on-line, from books and then I tweak the ideas to become my own. As I have become more confident I am coming up with more ideas. Making food is my creative outlet and I have fun with food and I hope you all will too.

Zhu Zhu Pet Pretzel Snacks
I had to get very creative for my daughter's birthday party. Zhu Zhu pet snacks are not easy to find. My kids had been snacking on these yogurt covered pretzels and an idea came to my mind.... Zhu Zhu pretzels. I bought the pre-made yogurt covered pretzels but you could cover them yourself with candy melts or chocolate! I just placed the pretzels on a cookie tray and melted white chocolate and put a dab in the 'holes' of the pretzel and then just brushed it over to make the white mouth. I then placed a bright pink paper candy for the nose. Jelly beans were too big to use. For the eyes I put a dab of melted chocolate on the back of a black round cake confetti piece and 'glued' it to the pretzel. Melted chocolate makes GREAT edible glue. For the ears, I had small heart cake confetti pieces and 'glued' them on upside down to make ears. I tried to put whiskers on with angel hair pasta but the faces were too small and it just made them look like cats. VOILA... a zhu zhu pet party snack. This was the kid's favourite at the party.
