So, this is my very first blog entry, ever. I know nothing about blogging but I have decided to share all the 'fun' food ideas that I create. April Fool's Day is a great day to start my blog, eh? I just wanted to share what I did for April Fools for my kids. First we had a meatloaf cupcake. Super simple to make...make meatloaf, however you do it, put it in the bottom of a cupcake holder and then put some mashed potatoes on top and cook until meat is done. Super simple. You could add food colouring to the potatoes if you wanted, we just had 'white' icing on top of ours:)

For dessert, our April Fool's Snack, we had 'breadsticks' and 'dip.' Another easy but fun thing to make and eat. I just cut store bought (I create but I do not bake) Angel Food Cake into small pieces, placed them on a cookie sheet and broiled each side for a few minutes. Watch it, they do burn quickly. I put the 'bread' in a bowl and made three dips: 1) ranch AKA as whipping cream with some green sugar in it to make green flecks, 2) mustard AKA as vanilla pudding with golden food colouring in it and 3) BBQ sauce which is just KARO with some food colouring in it.
Overall it was a fun and successful April Fool's dinner. Looking forward to next year to try some more:)
